Cheryl Cole has expressed an interest in going on a date with Prince Harry, after urging him to 'call her' in an appearance on the Graham Norton Show.

The Geordie popstar told chat show host Graham Norton that she is currently single, but if she was to settle down she would ‘consider Prince Harry’.

Later on in the show, she made a telephone gesture and said ‘call me’,  possibly in the hope that word would get back to the young royal and he’d pick up the phone.

The prince himself has reportedly admitted to having the hots for the Call My Name singer while she was a judge on the X Factor.

More recently he was watching intently as she performed for him, and the rest of the royal family, at the Jubilee Concert outside Buckingham Palace on Monday evening to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. 

Previously, a source revealed to the Mirror that he often emailed Cheryl’s management team in an attempt to meet up and get to know her better.

In response, Cheryl told Marie Claire that she had dreamed about marrying the royal.

‘I was a real-life princess!’ she added.

If Prince Harry lets her down, Chezza will not be short of potential suitors, with Chace Crawford and even Rihanna admitting a fancy for the Girls Aloud star.

Actor Crawford listed Cheryl among the hottest British celebrities, while Rihanna gushed: ‘Cheryl is so beautiful. I just want to watch her work.

'Preferably cleaning things on the floor. Picking up stuff on the floor. Bending over...’

Failing either of those there is always Katy Perry, whom Cheryl cosied up to behind the scenes of the chat show and later posted the snap on Twitter.
